After passing the EPS-TOPIK (Korean language exam), candidates must go through the Skill Test and Physical Test as part of the final selection process for working in Korea. These tests ensure that workers are practically skilled and have the physical strength required for industrial and manufacturing jobs.
The skill test checks the candidate’s basic work abilities and readiness for Korean workplaces.
Practical Skills – Simple tasks related to the chosen sector (e.g., tool handling, basic machinery use, or work safety).
Interview / Understanding Test – Short interview to assess discipline, safety awareness, and motivation.
The physical test focuses only on hand power and back power, which are important for factory and labor-based jobs in Korea.
Hand Power Test – Using a hand dynamometer (grip machine), candidates press with maximum strength. Score is measured in kilograms.
Back Power Test – Using a back dynamometer (lifting machine), candidates pull upward with maximum force. Score is measured in kilograms.
